We attend our Saturday evening mass. Everything was normal until the end of communion....one of my friends (communion minister) kept looking at the side and back of the church and looked rather upset; he then spoke to our priest before leaving the alter for final blessing. Because it was so weird, I asked him what happened. He said that someone had gone up for communion, pretended to eat the host, and then walked out with the host still in hand. The only thing I could come up with was maybe they were taking it home to a sick family member who couldn't attend or some reason like this; but of course you're not supposed to take it on your own. The host should be carried and given by one of the communion ministers who knows how to care for it. After discussing it with my parents, my father mentioned that the host is used by other religions for ceremony purposes. After hearing that from my dad, it's kinda of creeped me out. Has anyone heard about this?
