Head table

Hello! At my reception site, the head table is in front of a stage. At the last wedding I was at there, the dj set up his equipment on it and then they also have a piano up there which they use for when they do non wedding events. Therefore, I am looking for a way to somewhat hide the stage. Does anyone have any ideas on head table backdrops that I could buy or make so the stage isnt super noticeable? I already want to put a arch behind my future husband and I but that will only hide about 3 to 4 feet of the stage. I just dont want the stage to be in the backgroud of all our head table pictures. Any ideas will be helpful! Thanks!

How high is the stage? The table and the people sitting there will block most of it, I'd imagine. You could also do something like small topiary trees sitting on the stage to draw attention away from the piano. The only thing with that is you'd have to make sure you staggered them between your wedding party's seats, so that it doesn't look like they have leaves coming out of their heads. You could also decorate them with ribbon garland in your wedding colors or white string lights to jazz them up a little bit.

Here's a link to the type of tree I'm picturing, only you can find real ones for considerably cheaper from a greenhouse or nursery (I think my sister paid like $20 each for the ones she used at her wedding).

I had originally looked at a venue that had that set-up and it was akward! Talk to your venue to see if they have any alternatives or you just might want to look at another venue if you don't like it. Have you ever thought of just doing a sweetheart table with you and FI; wedding party can sit together at regular guest tables with their SOs?
