Inexpensive Cakes?

Hi all,

We are looking for a very reasonable wedding cake that is 3-4 tiers and decorated elegantly. Can you all give suggestions? We are not too picky about how the cake eats or tastes as long as it is decent. We are more interested in the visual appeal. Please help.

We went with Key's Cafe. They are super reasonably priced and super tasty. Anyway you want to decorate it they will do really cheaply compared to other places we looked at. And we got a lot of compliments on the cakes!

Roseville Bakery in Roseville, MN. We tasted cakes at a lot of places, and found they had great tasting cakes and nice decorating for much less than other places. They were very reliable and delivered to our reception site on the other side of town during the very narrow time window that the reception site required.

Also very friendly to work with, and they gave us a free cake top replica on our first anniversary (totally unexpected, but so wonderful).

I'd recommend the Cup-Cakery Bakery. They are very yummy, especially the strawberry!

If you're willing to do cupcakes, I recommend Rivertown Cakes in Hastings. We're doing cupcakes from her--she is MUCH less expensive than other area bakeries, can do a cutting cake, and it's all super tasty.

I would recommend Sweet Treats by Jeff as well. Very nice guy, easy to work with and ZOOMG delicious. Also, Byerlys / Lunds has reasonable priced cakes (but not as good as Jeff, in my humble opinion). Good luck!
