Engaged!!!! (Long w/pics!)

It still feels so surreal!!!

We have been together almost 2 years, and I knew a proposal was coming, but he managed to COMPLETELY take me by surprise!

Friday night was the First night off he had had in over 2 months. We were going to the Astros vs Rangers game (we ALWAYS go to the game when the Astros are in town, so nothing out of the ordinary), and then we were going to go visit his family for Fathers day. His nephew was 1 month old and we hand't seen him yet so this was the first opportunity we had to go. So I was in a great mood! Finally getting to spend some quality time with my man after a gruelling few months! So I was going Picture CRAZY!!!! And he just let me go and laughed about it because he knew what was coming!

7th inning came around and he wanted to take a picture by the Nolan Ryan statue. We do this at every game so again.. nothing out of the ordinary! I went to the bathroom first and came out all mad because I felt sweaty and gross and not in the mood to take a picture! We get over there and find a random person to take the picture for us. After a few attempts with my phone they came out blurry. Jon suggested she take one more. She was so nice and offered to take it on her iPhone and just text it to us. So I was standing there posing, and Jon was being all distracted and fidgety. I turned to yell at him to stand still and when I did he was on his knee with the ring! He told me I said yes, but I just remember flying at him and crying! We had friends back at our local bar waiting to celebrate with us that night, then got to spend the entire weekend with his family celebrating! It was just a special weekend, and now I get to spend the rest of my life with the most wonderful man I know!!!

5th inning! Astros are winning!!

    Thanks so much! We found it together, but I didn't know he had bought it (ok I suspected, but he threw me off). We accidentally discovered the baseball setting and it just made sense! He loved it because it was putting something in the ring that was very HIM. I can't stop looking at it! It doesn't feel like its really mine!

    That is awesome that your ring has a bit of both of you in it. Makes it all the more special.  Enjoy this Cloud 9, just make sure you don't drive anywhere for a while! Don't want you to crash due to staring at the sparklies!

    eriosly! We got engaged at night, and the next morning i went to see my sister and it blinded me in the sun!!! I did take a picture of me holidng me Starbucks and sent it to my neice with the caption "my coffee looks soo much better now"! HA!
