Need Help Finding a Reception Venue in CT

Does anyone have any suggestions for a reception venue in CT? My fiance and I are looking for a venue with a big dance floor and more of a modern feel or (updated)...please help...

    just came across this thread..

    The hall we are using is part of a church parish in Weston, CT
    but the hall is not connected to the church if that makes sense they rent it out for  receptions and parties  and for a great deal

    Cascade has a huge dance floor in their larger room - I believe the minimum guests for that room was 150 (not 10% on that though). I love the larger room but I wanted a smaller list and they wouldn't budge on the #s - they have a much, much smaller room available too but the dance floor sucks, honestly. 
    Our wedding is at Saint Clement's Castle but that's not very modern. 
    Candlewood Lake Inn is also another really pretty one with a good size dance floor. 

    Hopefully some of the other ladies will offer more suggestions that are more helpful.

    A friend of mine attended a wedding at Stonington Meadows and said it was one of the best weddings she's ever been to.  I plan on looking into it soon.

    The Gershon Fox Room in Hartford is an amazing venue! We are getting married there next August.  The facility is amazing and unique! Here is the website www.marquee-ct.com/ Smile

    Check out the new Farmington Gardens! I just booked my wedding their for next year! The place is really unique and beautiful!
