Not sure what to do

So Im feeling way bad right now. My almost fi's brother is in the Marines and is in Afghanistan and he wants to wait to get married until he gets back. And I totally understand that! But we already had a date and have told people and everything. And all my plans have to rethought and everything. AH!! I really dont want this to be an issue. HELP!!

Have you already sent out invitations? If not, then it doesn't matter if you've verbally told people the date. Nothing is official until they get a save the date or invitation.
