Wedding Party

Bridemaid/MOH 911

I only have a bridal party of 2, my BFF is my MOH and my cousin is a bridesmaid. We've already bought my cousins dress, which is a great mauve/champagne color and now I'm trying to find a great dress for my MOH, but she doesn't want to wear brown and she wants to wear green, which I' okay with (champagne, green and ivory are my wedding colors) but her green is not the green I like so she's being a huge DIVA!!! What is a good compromise and also to ensure they are somewhat insync colorwise on the wedding???

Re: Bridemaid/MOH 911

  • Thanks, I'll see if that works. I've taken her shopping once and she complained the entire time, that I was being unreasonable. I really want to please her but I have to stand my ground since its my wedding.
  • Ditto PPs.

    This isn't an emergency.

And of all things, I feel like using 911 as the subject of the thread on this day is at least slightly inappropriate.
  • My bridesmaids bought their dresses 9 months in advance which worked out great for the ones that needed time to get them altered and whatnot, but 13 months before your wedding does seem really early. I'd wait until the end of December because there will be a ton of new styles coming out for 2013.

[QUOTE]In Response to Re: Bridemaid/MOH 911 : Based on what?  The meaning of 9-1-1 being the number you dial in an emergency is completely unrelated to the date of September 11, 2012.  If the bombing had happened on September 10, 2012, would you feel like using 911 in a subject was "inappropriate" then too?  Or is it just the ironic coincident of the numerical date?   Talk about overly sensitive.  Yeesh.

It's the coincidence and that we established that this WASN'T an emergency.

If I read that on any other day I wouldn't have had the same reaction.   Maybe that makes me over sensitve.   Oh well.
  • I don't blame you for shopping early! We got the bridesmaids dresses early because we wanted cotton and Davids Bridal has phased out all but one and is getting rid of the final one come winter.
Your MOH should understand that this is your day. If you cant agree with color swatches offer to pay part of her dress.
