Studio Z Films

Has anyone used them before? Do you know approx. how much it costs? Tried to do a board search but the results came up kinda wonky.

    Last year when I met with him, the basic package was around 3300 range starting out.

    If you look at his work I think you will see that he is worth it for sure. It is amazing. We have not booked anyone yet but plan on speaking to him and a few others as well.

    I would never pay 3k for a video that you will probably watch 5 times in the next 50 years.  I would however consider paying a photographer - maybe 2k.  If its in your budget then go for it, but there is so many more things that 3k could by that are beneficial for a marraige and a family than a silly video.  IMO.

    I know you like Steve but I found a guy locally that video style is similar. Tell me what you think of this video? His rate is $1175 & $1575, half the price of Studio Z.

    We used Studio Z for our wedding and it was absolutely AMAZING.  I can't even express how awesome the video was.  I think it started out in the low 2k's, but I forget exact how much.  It all blurred together after awhile, lol.  We weren't sure but I'm glad we did it.  It really captured the emotions that our pictures didn't.  good luck!

    I just got married on May 8 and used Studio Z films-  I was so happy working with Steve and Josh. Steve showed up early and spent more time filming than I expected him to which was great.  He was able to film more of the getting ready details that my photographer wasn't around for. I can't wait to get our film back because I know it will be beautiful. His work is amazing and well worth it if you have room in your budget. We spent apprx. $3900, but it was something that I really wanted for our wedding. When it's all said and done, all you really have after the wedding is the pictures and film if you choose to do that. IMO it's totally worth it to spend big $$ on quality film.

    I don't think this work is comparable to Studio Z at all. I don't know I am really picky when it comes to photography and video. I think it is just personal preference and style. Everyone is different. I do like Poetic Cinema, but still leaning toward Studio Z.

    Somebody "in the biz" I spoke to during our wedding planning told me "Steve and Studio Z is in a tier all by themselves....then there's a handful just beneath them who are outstanding...then there's everone else".  From what I've seen and heard, Studio Z is probably the most expensive and elaborate -- but you def. get what you pay for.

    If your budget isn't allowing for that, check into the videographer I hired, ICVideo.  They have a website with some demo videos.  When I found out that Studio Z was not only booked, but prob outta my price range anyways, I was crushed.  Spoke to a few other videographers and wasn't all that impressed.  Kinda forgot about it, then a little over a week before my wedding decided I really needed a video!  That's where ICVideo came in....my DOC rec'd them and the rest is blissfully-satisfied-customer history!  I tell peopel it's like we are the movie stars of our wedding day movie!!  SO cool!!

    PS: They are out of Louisville, but travel is no issue.
