Thank You!!!! We had so much fun at the wedding! Our wedding was definitely a Phirst Phamily affair.

Since we did not invite our chapters to the wedding (those were our CLOSE friends who happened to be in our orgs), we are doing cake and punch receptions at our respective chapter meetings.  We went to DH meeting on Saturday. A few Sorors came to help serve the cake and punch and he is going to bring a few Frat to serve the cake and punch at our meeting in November.  We brought out guest book and some of the pro shots that we had printed to share as well. It worked out really well and made people feel really good since they were unable to attend the wedding.

Where were you made?  I was made Spring 97 at Rho Chapter at UC Berekeley. Are you still active?

Awww how sweet is that, and very creative too.   I crossed at the University of Memphis Epsilon Epsilon Chapter Spring 2004.  And no I am not finacially active, right now.  But I do a ton of community service with FI (he's a Sigma) The plan was to pay dues this year,(sat out b/c of wedding and grad school tuition) and so far I'm on track for that now that the wedding is almost paid for.

I hear you on trying to keep up with dues, especially with the wedding and grad school!!! I am not working right now so I hope to be working by January so that I can pay my dues. I think ours went up to $280 this year, but we don't have any heavy assessments.

I want to go back to school, but feel like its so hard since I waited so long.  I am going to apply to the National Urban Fellows because it is a fully funded master in public policy.  I also applied for a job at USC, so if I get hired i can take classes there for free too.  I have hit an income ceiling and need to get the next degree in order to move up.

I say enjoy the wedding planning, finish school and enjoy being a newlywed. You know AKA will always be there, waiting to take all of your time and even more of your money.  LOL  Are you planning to attend Boule next year? Nevermind, you will be wedding poor by then.... I know we are wedding poor now. Glad we paid cash for the wedding but the available cashflow is limited for the time being.
