How are you all doing? I hope all is well!
So sorry that I haven't been around lately things were crazy getting ready for lil man to come but.. Thank God I made it through and HE'S HERE!!!
Caden Mattthew Jenrette was born on September 27, 2012 at 2:41 am weighing in at 6 pounds 12 ounces, and a whopping 20 inches long!
Chile.. I'mma tell ya'll it was hell giving birth to my lil one.. but looking at him makes it soooo worth it.
I was due to be induced on Sept 27th, but was bumped to the 24th due to some scheduling conflicts at the hospital. I went to the hospital on the 24th.. was given some medicine that was only supposed to help soften my cervic.. but the thing sent me into early labor!.. unfortunately being on the medicine I couldn't get an epidural until they started me on the pitocin. After the meds they started the pitocin and I had only dilated to 1/2 a centimeter (through all that hell!!!)... to make a long story short: 24 hours of labor and 2 epidurals in.. I had to get an emergency C- section.
Once he was out..the healing process started with seriously low hemoglobin levels. Apparently I was anemic beefore I had him (no one told me), but once he came out, with all the blood loss my levels dropped dangerously low. I had a blood transfusion (3 full bags of blood).. and took a ridiculous amount of iron pills to get back to the normal levels.
The nurses at the hospital were soo sweet.. but that BED was crap.. and had my back killing me!... Finally after being in the hospital for damn near a week I was discharged yesterday,and lil man is slowly getting accustomed to home.
