Marriage License- How late is too late?

I spoke to the clerk of courts today and since FI is not a FL resident, there's no waiting period for our marriage license. The reason I was worried about this is because I don't think we'll both be back in FL again until the week before the wedding. Is that cutting it too close to get our marriage license? I mean, we should get it that same day shouldn't we, or am I totally wrong here? Any thoughts?

    Both DH and I are out of state residents and didn't have to wait so we got ours the Friday before our Sunday wedding.  Just remember that the offices are only open M-F.

    You should be fine.  Check the days and times the office is open though just to make sure you can get in.

    Marriage license....THANK YOU! lol. I'm going to lose my mind. I haven't even thought about that crap yet. It's sort of an important detail! Are any other March brides getting into a slightly crazed phase? It just seems like there has been a huge surge in phone calls and appointments again lately.
