Outdoor Weddings and Budgets

Hello Ladies,

I don't think I've ever posted on this board, but figure this is the best place to come.

I'm currently planning on having an outdoor wedding at my parents farm with a tent for the reception. I'm having a really hard time keeping this budget under control and it is making me nervous.

Any tips, suggestions or ideas?

    When it comes to alcohol, most people say it's cheaper to stick to beer and wine, but my caterer and I talked about it.. and I think liquor is the way to go.  A handle of alcohol is about as much as a case of beer, could be cheaper if you catch the sales... Pours more drinks (espeically if you have your bartender pour lightly) and usually people drink less drinks than beers.  Just a thought!
