I'm ordering lock boxes for the 15 thermostats on our floor. And I'm not telling anyone. Just going to have them put on. When it's 58 degrees outside, it's not neccessary to turn it up to 87 inside.

I'm really annoyed that I got into a car accident (and it was the other girls fault...she rear ended me) but she is saying I stopped to suddenly....so her insurance is denying the claim. So now I have to pay my own deductible to get my truck fixed and my insurance company has to go through the PITA of filing arbitration to get my deductible back....UGH

Crystal, you're right. We MUST work together. Why must I work in a SAUNA? I am wearing a short-sleeved shirt, skirt to my knees, open toed shoes and am sweating. The excuse for why they can't adjust the temp? The coolers aren't working properly.
Okay, so just turn off the heat. thankyouverymuch. Problem solved!

Crystal and Courtski - I have the opposite problem.. our office is like an icebox. I have a space heater on the floor about 3" from my feet and I'm still freezing.

We got a counter offer from the bank on our house.... and they want more than their asking price now. Magnificent. *head desk*

We countered back and after this we are done... no bidding wars for us.

I'm stressed because I was finally offered a full time job after a year of temping, but its 100% commission based and no benefits. So do I wait for something else?

Plus side: work from home, set my own hours, design based (which is what my degree is in)

Down Side: commission only so how will I pay bills at first, no insurance...still, not recession proof

I just don't want to start my marriage without me being able to help out financially.

I'm working from home today! Yay!

I still haven't received my formal offer for the new job. Boo!

But they sent me an awesome welcome present! Yay!

But since I'm working at home, I'm eating all the sweets in it. Boo!

Chelsea- good luck witht he insurance, that is always a pain. You should get your deposit back eventually. EVEN if you stopped suddenly, the other chick should have been far enough back that she wouldn't have hit you.

To everyone in an uncomfortable office. Sorry. My office is usually an icebox. But apparently they did somethig last week, because I sweated the past two days all day. Gross.

I'm in an ice box as well Tiffany, my way around it? Wearing a hoodie and slipper booties....yeah...it may be a tad unprofessional, but seeing as how i do not have a boss at my office, and i do not have any contact with the client other than phone and email....i dont see a problem with it. That and i get up from my desk maybe 4 times total through out the day, on an active day.

I feel for you ladies with the temp problems for a while they had our side of the office set to not turn back on (it turns off at 9pm to conserve energy) until 7am. Problem is our team starts getting here around 6:30 and it doesnt get warm until 9 or 10. Luckily they fixed it last week.

Tiffany that sucks about the house, hopefully they just accept. I don't understand why they have an asking price then ask for more!

My SA is actually wedding related. I have this vision in my head of how I want our tables to look when the guests walk in and unfortunately that vision includes brown chargers. I have only found brown chargers at one place and they are 12.00 per plate plus service charge. I dont want to give up on this idea but I am not spending 1,200 on a plate that is only for decoration.

ooo I forgot to comment on Chelsea's SA that is BS in no way should that be coming out of your pocket!

Thanks ladies for the suggestions, I am going to take a look at the link now. The place I found that has them has bronze for around 9.00 but I wanted a chocolate brown.

I really wish the girl that posted her for sale stuff with brown chargers and napkins would reply because I would buy them all.

Okay seriously these are perfect! I dont mind that they are acrylic because its more of the look that I want vs. it has to be fine china type thing our reception isnt going to be super fancy anyways I just want it to be pretty. I swear I google for a good hour on rental places and another 30 min on trying to buy and didnt find anything this cheap or in the dark brown they were all bronze.

THANK YOU!

I haven't checked anything off my wedding list lately. Kind of gives me an anxiety attack. I lurk on the may board and they all have their invites done and a lot of other stuff done that I haven't begun to think about. YIKES! I am glad things will start settling down after the holidays and I will be able to do more things. It just has been bothering me lately that I haven't been more motivated to get stuff done.

My SA is more of an AW but I'm too happy to wait til tomorrow. I paid off my car last night, about 9 months ahead of schedule. Now I can take what would have been those monthly payments and put them towards the wedding.

Oh and FI IMed me this morning to let me know his leave was pushed back a couple of days, which is actually better for us cause he lands in Dallas about 6 hours prior to me returning from my meetings in CA.

google is tricky, if you type in ONE extra word sometimes it gives you 8 billion different things then if you would have typed in a different one.

I googled "wedding brown charger plates", and it was the third sponsered link. Which, i'm not sure if sponsered links pop up EVERYTIME, but regardless, i'm happy to help :) that's exciting that you found them!

In the end it won't come out of my pocket....it might just take a while to be reimbursed. I work for a law firm that handles auto accidents...so EVEN IF my insurance company loses in arb, I will personally sue the girl in small claims court :) b/c it doesnt matter if Im traveling 60 mph and slam on my brakes, she is supposed to leave enough room between her vehicle and mine that she can come to a full and complete stop safely....and obviously she was following to close

(she hit the wrong person haha)

Chelsea - How aggrevating!! Your right... people have a responsibilty to stop (by law, no?) regardless of how fast the person in front of them stops.

I don't see how her insurance company could deny the claim in the first place. That's ridiculous.

mckem - don't get discouraged. The ladies on my month board mailed their STDs out like a year in advance. It was ridiculous. You'll get it all done.

I'm really tired today. DH had so much extra vacation that he took this week off. (It's use it or lose it). So, he stays at home while I come to work. Boo. Luckily I'm not all alone at work today. So, it's not too terribly boring.

Also, thanks Ashlee for asking about recipes yesterday. I totally forgot about Kraft.com. I went to their website and they have an area where it tells you what to buy for a one week and the five meals you can make with what you buy. So much cheaper than what I do. I went to the grocery store last night and spent around $50 and I have enough for five days. My beef stew is in the crock pot as I type.

Sorry for my novel. I'm just really bored. Tiffany - what day does TCU play? I really want to watch that game. I hope we can manage to win our bowl game.

I KNOW RIGHT!!! The girl actually had the nerve to file a claim AGAINST me too! Of course my insurance company denied it the very next day....ugh! It is such a PITA to have to deal with this in the first place; I know I am going to win but that doesn't mean I wanted to exert the energy to fight it in the first place...

As much as I LOVE Christmas, I hate taking everything down from the holidays. It would be a helluvalot easier just to leave everything up for next year but I am not going to be THAT person! We are looking into cable/satellite providers. Our apartment complex was providing basic cable but this is their last month to do so ): We don't need a huge package because we don't watch tv that much, we are just wanting basic cable or a small package with satellite. Any suggestions/recommendations? Chris got an iPad for graduation. I am obsessed with it and have unoofficially stolen it. best.invention.ever.
