Candy buffet vs. French macaron

I'm having second thoughts on the candy buffet, so what would you rather have candy or 2 of these yummy french macarons? My colors are pink, green and brown, so I would probably give 1 pink and 1 green.

Macarons but only because I've never had them! I am kind of sick of seeing candy buffets, too much knotting I suppose!

I've been seeing the macron's on a lot of blogs.... I brought it up to FI and he thought I meant those coconut things with the condensed milk or whatever it is. I've never actually tried one, but they are tres cute!

Macaroons would be different and cute and less hassle logistically so I vote for them (in all fairness to the candy buffet while I think its old news to us its still relatively new to most of our guests).

I'm doing both! Because I could not make up my mind. 2Macarons will be at their place settings when they arrive and people will have the option to go up to the candy bar if they choose. I figure probably my older guests will not be partaking in the candy bar and will enjoy the macarons.
