bridal shower...what are you doing...

Iwhat are you going to be doing for your bridal shower? do you know if its themed? how many are you having?

im torn between doing 2 showers or just one.... i have about 35-40 people (family/friends) that are on the invite list... would you split it up and do one for family only and the other for friends and family friends...or put family friends with family (that makes more sense now that i wrote it out hahaha)

thanks for listening and your advice! :)

I think I'm going to be having just one (for friends, since my family lives 1 hour away), but there is talk of two (for family, but I feel weird having two, so idk).  With family my guest list would be similar to your size, and I feel bad having my MOHs (and BMs) cover a cost for a party for that many people.

If you can split it up and have a family member host the Family Shower I would do that, and I would include family friends with the Family Shower, unless maybe if those friends were all your age.

My MOHs asked for a theme request and I said Tea Party, with food that I would eat (I'm a pretty picky eater, but not impossibly picky).  And the guest list is like 20 people (friends only).  My mom will probably come too, but that would be it as far as family goes.  I also asked for a "buttload" of pink to be there, since none of my wedding colors are pink (for FI's sake Wink), and I love the color pink.

But thank gawd for MOHs!  It's so nice not having to plan this event!

40 is quite a lot of people!  I would definitely try to split it into two groups especially if you think that many people will indeed attend.

I think I'll be having two showers.  One is for friends and family.  The second would be for work.  I anticipate about 20 will attend the friends and family shower.  Which is coming up in only a month!  It isn't really themed - just classed up using mostly purple decor, lots of fresh flowers, and possibly even catered.  I had to cut purple out of my decor for the wedding so my sister/MOH wanted to bring it in for the shower.

Mgoss, I did a tea party for my sister's shower and it was so much fun!  Lots of different types of tea and tiny sandwiches.  We asked guests to wear their best tea party hats and gloves.  That was a big hit - highly recommend it.

Im glad i dont have to plan this! but that is a good idea to have a family member host the family one... and then the BP do the friends... idk im sure my MOH and mom will have some input on what to do!!

i cant let my BP pay for that many people! that is crazy, if we did do one party i would def chip in!!

tea party is a great idea! i didnt even think of that! :)

I'm having 2... one with family and friends, one at work.

The family and friends one is themed around colors, tiffany blue and red. I have no idea what else is going on :o)

Oh, and yes, I agree with maybe splitting it. 40 is a lot of people.
