Unique Guest Book Ideas... Anyone doing anything different?

These are 2 that I am using.  Yes 2 :)

I am going to use a guest book box (address card file).  Guests can fill in there info then leave us wedding wishes, advice, etc.  I will change the colors of one of these designs to yellow and grey (our wedding colors).

I will also be using Postcard Wishes.  I think it'll be so fun to read these when we get home.  I'm hoping our guest will tell us what they enjoyed about our wedding.

Re: Unique Guest Book Ideas... Anyone doing anything different?

  • We are using a glass vase and small cards that have our name and date printed on it.  People will fill out the cards and put them in the vase.  I found it online but now I can't find the link to post a picture.  it also came with a book to put the cards in (almost like a photo album)  I thought it was a little different and cute
  • We are going to have each guest write a little wish/memory/thought/etc on a slip of paper and then put it in an envelope number 1-10 and then that number will be the anniversary we open them on!
  • I'm thinking about doing a white signature vase where people sign on the actual vase.  We can put flowers in it every year on our anniversary.

I'm also doing a traditional guestbook of some sort, but I'm going to put them on completely separate tables so people don't sign the guestbook with the chunky, Sharpie-like vase marker.

OP- Your ideas are sharp-looking.  Good work!  If I trusted myself not to lose the little papers, I'd do that, too.  My aunt did postcard advice at their reception, and a lot of people had fun with it.

  • I got a 12 x 12 scrapbook and am making pages in it with pics of us and stories, etc.  Then guests can write whatever they want on matching little blank business size-cards and slip them into pockets that are on the pages.  It's been really fun to make so far.

<div>That is cute, but I don't know if I would be able to wait that long....haha</div>
  • My MOH (and sister) made me a scrap book with room for people to sign, write advice, warm wishes or anything they choose.... It came out great and is something I will definetly look at again through the years as opposed to a "regular" guest book....
  • we are having guests sign our E-pics book.

  • I'm either having guests write messages on pieces of cardstock and making a scrapbook, or I'll get some wine bottles and have guests sign them, then drink them on anniversaries.

  • I'm making mine -- it's going to be a basic guest book, but with room for a picture that I can add later. FI wants the photo matte too, so even though it's NMS, we're doing it.

  • We are doing a DIY photobooth. I am going to have guests sign a card that will go next to their picture in the guestbook.
I love the idea of signing the vase.

  • We are having a guest book quilt. I am pretty excited about it. I hope it turns out well :). I will cut quilt squares and have fabric markers for guests to use to write their well wishes on. Then my FH's grandmother will help me put it together.
  • We picked up a couple of posters that the guests will sign.
This is a neglected planning bio.
This is a belated married bio, with no reviews yet because I'm lazy.

Sometimes I feel like people think that brides are delicate little flower princesses who get all dressed up and pretty for one special moment of their dreams, when really they're just normal people who just happen to be getting married. Things shouldn't have to be sugar-coated for grown-ass women. -mstar284

Our Photographer is using our engagement photos to make a guest book.  I could have really done this myself by having a photo book printed or using a scrap book but we wouldn't have gotten our DVD with our pictures until after the wedding.
