I saw the Woman in Black two years I ago I think, it was great!  Did you already get tickets?  You can discount ones.

What are you into?  I have tons of suggestions for London.

We don't have tickets yet but I'm super excited. We did that show in college and it was amazing!

We are total foodies, and we're into artsy stuff, touristy stuff, and we're always up for unusual, off the beaten path stuff. I'm totally into karaoke and love the pub atmosphere, and we both love dive bars.

We're trying to keep spending reasonable, but we've both saved up quite a bit so we can afford to be a little extravagant one or two of the nights (especially food wise). Oh, and we will be there from June 7th-June 11th if that helps. :)

/butting in.  My good friend took her honeymoon in London, and she went to Wagamama in Trafalgar Square (sorry if I butchered spelling, NCV) and they ended up sitting with this grungy looking dude who was also American.

They were chatting back and forth, and the guy said that he was from Arizona, but he was pretty famiiliar with Pennsylvania, as he's been to Hershey a lot.  My friends went on and on about their honeymoon, and then my friend asked what brought Mr. Arizona to London he said, "Oh... I'm Alice Cooper.  I'm on tour."

So maybe you'll eat dinner with some random famous American!  lol
Paprika: I like it when you burp in my ear. It really turns me on.

That has yet to happen to me RA.

I would suggest checking out http://www.toptable.com/ for discounts on restaurants.  I have a few suggestions.  I really like Souk near Leicester Square, Suze which is near the American Embassy.  I will think more and get back to you.

I would also check out http://www.daysoutguide.co.uk/ for 2 for 1 tickets to the Tower etc.  You need a train ticket so just buy a zone one to zone one ticket.  London Bridge to Charing Cross for example.  It will cost you £1.80 and save you a ton.

I also suggest Hampton Court Palace rather then Kensington Palace.

The Churchill War Rooms are great!  Also 2 for 1 and a bit off the beaten track.  http://cwr.iwm.org.uk/

Most museums are free in London.

Thanks so much!! This is super helpful! NVC, I'm sure I will have more questions for you as our trip gets closer! :) Where can I get discount tickets for WIB?

My SO is actually trying to get us in to something called "The Ceremony of The Keys" for the Tower, which sounds pretty cool. He had to hand write a letter and send it in. Hopefully we'll get accepted, heh.

And RA - that's hilarious. I have a similar story from when I was working the Styx/REO Speedwagon concert. I was stuck in the production room all day, and this guy came in to check his email and we ended up chatting for most of the day, and later that night when I was watching the show I realized it was the bass player for Styx, heh. Not as exciting as Alice Cooper, but I got a kick out of it. It would be totally cool to randomly run into a celebrity when we're there, heh. :)
