what about children/babies talking, acting up and screaming in movie theatres?

if you think your child will act up, dont take them. period. or if they do, take them out of the theatre. i also hate when babies are in the theatre and start screaming. you shouldnt be taking your 2 month old baby to the movies. oh yea, and i forgot to mention that the movie their watching is a pg 13 or rated r movie.

  • You know what drives me crazy?  Rants without proper grammar or capitalization.

  • I really don't think I see children in this poster's future.  Children are children and honestly I have seen some adults that are more embarrassing or annoying to be around.

  • I'll be devils advocate here. .

Parent's need a date night too and it's not like babies remember movies they went to during infancy. I agree on the sound level of movies, but some movies aren't that loud. Babies will be babies and kids will be kids. Yes, parents should have control over their dear offsprings, but lets not forget that we were all kids once and I know for a fact I could be a terror from time to time.

I've seen on multiple ocassions adults acting up and being stupid at resturants and movies. How can you fully expect kids to be 'perfect' when some adults can't even act their age.

Once, at my church, a baby was cooing / almost crying. The mom quickly got up to leave as to not disturb the congregation. Our pastor quickly asked her to sit back down and not worry about it because he'd rather hear the noise of a baby than no baby at all. It mean't that the next generation was there and growing.

Yes, some things are obnoxious, but they're children! And please tell me you aren't basing this off of the PG movies you're going to see. Lol

Also. . Tide, I agree! *Even though I suck at grammar*

  • To the original poster, I agree with the previous posters, change your account, having your user name is just an easier way for some hacker to find their way into your account, much less your computer!

  • I agree with the OP, I can't stand when adults take their children to PG-13/R movies.  A) Kids shouldn't be watching movies that aren't appropriate for their age  B) It's selfish for the parents to take them to a movie like that  and C) When parents take young children (Newborn-4ish especially) to any movie and the kid is crying or acting up and they don't take them out of the theatre, it's really inconsiderate to the other people around them.  Yes, kids will be kids but if you child is crying take them out of the theatre so the other paying movie-goers can enjoy the film.
  • Taking children to an adult movie is selfish and rude.  I don't get mad at the child for making noise at the movie, I get mad at the parent for- 1 having them there and 2 not being responsible enough to take them out of the theater when they get fussy.

Oh and a movie theater and a church are 2 very different places.  They are not a good comparison.

  • Agreed!  This was a topic on the radio the other day - places not to take your babies.  I've seen babies and kids in the most inappropriate of movies.  We went to see Paranormal Activity last year and there was a family of 7 - the oldest child maybe being 10 - we couldn't believe it!  Then when we saw Iron Man 2 - at 10 pm - someone sat in the front row with a newborn in a carseat.  I was blown away.  If you can't afford a babysitter, then stay  home!
  • does it REALLY matter how i puncuate or capitalize? its not like im writing a formal paper on it. what drives ME crazy is how someone can get so crazy about my puncuation..no..nevermind, i think its just funny.

and yes i do plan on having children sometime in the future.
