DANG I missed it!! What channel was it on? Maybe they'll do it again.

H and I finally got out to see Saw 3D a few weeks ago. It was what we expected... but I think the 3D was overkill. They just did it because they could. It didn't really add anything to the movie. Other than H saying "whoa!!" about 50 times because it was his first 3D movie and he thought it was cool. Hehe.

dnb- So far, so good! Lots of crazy intense training this week... I've barely had time to figure out where everything is in my office because I've pretty much been in there long enough to put my coat down.

It's nice to be busy though - and doing something I absolutely love!

I also have a real office with a door and a window - which is beyond exciting for me. Hahaha.

I was supposed to call our loan lady about financing part of a vacation home (early stages of going in with my brothers and cousins to buy my grandparents old place in the mountains of CO).

I hate anything about finances and money. We use the Quicken program to keep track of everything. H set it all up with all of our info, and my job is to just not royally screw it up while he's gone. I've been doing really good so far.

kjb- He's got a bunch of books, movies - I think a website too. Check Google for sure. I actually went through a class to sit one-on-one with an instructor to walk me through it. The difference it makes is almost instant. Then it's just developing the habits.

And no, I didn't really do anything specific to stay away from creepyguy. I doubt he'll find me - I think it's more likely that he'll start bothering the girl who took over for me. I gave her the full rundown, and the police report number in case she needed it.

I was a finance major. For some reason that means I get to balance the checkbook.

. H just tells me to let him know how much money he can spend.

The calling the loan lady, is more about the fact that I work 2nd shift now and am home half the day during business hours, and less about the finance degree.

That is so exciting! H's grandfather bought a cabin/property in Michigan's U.P. in the '50's and it's been passed through the family ever since. What a wonderful piece of heritage. H is now part owner with his cousins although they don't really spend a lot of time up there... he'd like to try to buy them out, but we'll work on that later.

Hey there.

I currently use quicken. Which is way better than H's form of "I think the balance was XX, we should be good". Grrr Yes it's a pain keeping it up, but at least I can sleep (for the most part).

So I was at Target today, attempting to get my prescriptions filled. They told me I needed pre-authorization to fill the Lyrica. Um, what? Yeah, they were going to the Dr who prescribed it, and then he (well I'm sure someone in his ofice) has to call the insurance company. When did this start? I just told them to forget it. It's a Dr i work with and he was just trying to help me out, i didn't want him to have to go through the trouble.

Oh, but my point was - I was in line at the checkout, and they have giftcards for Facebook - what the hell do you need a gift card for Facebook for?

Yeah I love that it keeps track of all of our due dates for bills and stuff. I actually had the program before but was just too lazy to use it all the time so it would get screwed up. H took the time to set it all up though so its great.

We're in the super early stages of discussing it. There'd be 7 of us involved, but we're still figuring out if we are all on the same page as far as our intentions with the property and what we want out of it. It came up at my cousins' wedding a couple weeks ago. I'm sure it will be a few months before anything is decided for sure one way or another. We have a limit to how much we can/will invest in it, and that basically means, all 7 of us have to do it and even with 7 there's a price limit to how much we can offer for the house, or H and I will be out b/c it'd just put us in too hard a spot - cash flow wise to do it.

dnb- I have a hellacious Excel spreadsheet that does pretty much the same thing. It was a hoar to put together but now it has 18 months worth of our finances projected out. It's pretty cool. And motivating to see how much we can put in savings if we stick to it.

Eh, I just said to forget it. They filled the Medrol pack with no problem. Is this something new? I haven't filled a prescription in a long time, but I've never heard of that.
