Rehearsal Dinner Idea: Bowling?

Hello ladies- I've been a bit of a lurker on this board, but recently my fiance and I came up with a idea for our rehearsal dinner. We looked into restaurants, but there aren't that many that can do large parties nearby. So we came up with the idea of doing a bowling party, complete with rentals, food, and drink paid for. (So all the guests have to do is show up). Since we are pretty laid-back, we thought this would be a fun and something active people could do. Thoughts? We could do this at a local bowling alley, or at a "high rollers" lounge at a local casino to "glam it up" a bit.

The high roller's lounge is certainly not your typical bowling alley. Bowling at the casino sounds like a lot of fun. That could probably turn into a late night.
Bowling at a regular bowling alley would be fun, also.

I love bowling! The only problem I could possibly with this is if any of your guests physically couldn't participate. This only entered my mind because I know a few people who would be at my RD (if I held mine tomorrow) wouldn't be able to play. But if all your guests are willing and able, go for it! Sounds like fun, imo! :)

Sounds like a lot of fun!

The only thing I'd worry about if you did it at the casino (Foxwoods?) is that if your WP likes to party, they'd be out in the middle of "temptation island" the night before the wedding.

Just make sure that the bowling thing is the speed of all your guests.

Good ideas everyone. I have a while to decide (over a year!) but I thought it was certainly something fun, plus has meaning to us. The first time fiance's parents met mine, my parents kicked their butts in Wii Bowling! Now it's become a bit of a inside joke :)
