Wedding Invitations & Paper

David's Bridal *beware*

Just wanted to share my experience in case anyone was thinking of using them....

I ordered Invitations from David's Bridal online in early January. After not receiving my order for a while I tried to call and email them with no response. A full month later I got an email from a customer service rep saying that the invitations I ordered had been discontinued and my $$ would be refunded. So, I responded to the email from them and asked A) why they had discontinued samples on their website for purchase, B) why they had no problem charging my credit card for the purchase (of a discontinued product), and C) why it took someone a full month to figure this out and get back to me.

I did not get any response via email, so I called and, of course, had to leave a message on their customer service answering machine. A few days later I received a call from someone saying that maybe the invitations got lost in the mail.... so not only do they not have notes on record of anything, they right off the bat tried to make up excuses as to where they might be. After explaining the situation, and having to forward them back their own email response to me, the girls said she would look into it and call me back.

So, after this rep spoke with the person who sent me the email, she said that they were putting my refund check in the mail NEXT week (like a week from yesterday - basically telling me they didn't even process it yet)!! So, not only did they not have record of their own emails to me, but they also did not have notes on the status of my refund that they owed me a looooong time ago!

Unbelievable! This whole thing has taken over 2 months.... I asked for a supervisor to call me and she said rather than sending me a refund check, they will credit back my credit card and "that's what they are doing for me". Geeee thanks a lot! Your so nice to go out of your way!!!  UGH.

I would talk to your credit card company about this as well just in case DB also screws up refunding you.

  • Sorry you had a bad experience, but thanks for sharing.  If you look through the other posts on here there are a lot of really good vendors mentioned, so I'm certain you can find some lovely invitations from somewhere else.  Best of luck!

  • Try going to a stationer instead -- these shops specialize in invitations. David's Bridal offers invitations and accessories to keep your business (one stop shop).

Lots of professional vendors have low prices and good quality paper and printing.
