Mountain/Vineyard Wedding

Hi!  I am getting married next september and was looking through some places to get married, I have been looking at vineyards, and found some very nice but also very expensive!  Does anyone have any tips on places in the mountains or a vineyard that are more reasonable?

    Where have you looked?  What do you consider too expensive?  What's your "reasonable"? aka, What's your budget?

    Vineyard in the mountains?  Or mountains or vineyard?

    Raffaldini is pretty.  Childress is also nice.

    Don't know anything about their prices, but we went to a winery called Banner Elk Winery (in Banner Elk, near Boone) that was pretty, and they were setting up for a wedding when we were there.  Didn't love their wine though...

    I did see childress - they only allow their wine to be served which may be a problem, we were planning on having beer and wine.  Raffaldini is gorgeous, I am waiting to hear back about possibly only holding the ceremony there - they only provide foothills brewing company beer which is about 300 a keg. 

    I would say arond 3,000 would be within my budget.  Right now it is mountains or vineyard or both! Laughing

    I'm getting married in Asheville and have a couple good websites.  But, bigger cities can be more expensive; I would suggest looking in surrounding areas as well. There are lots of little known vineyards out there that I'm sure would be willing to acomodate you!  Here's a few links - hope they help!
