Nervous!!

Tomorrow is the first time I will see the dress my seamstress and I concocted on paper in real life! I am so so so so so nervous.  I hope that it looks like I imagined it would.

    Did you have a seamstress make the dress because it was a more cost effective route?  Or could you just not find your dream dress in a salon?  Just curious!

    I wanted a very simple silhouette--just strapless and fitted with a modestly full skirt--and probably could have found a million dresses at salons that fit the silhouette, but it was really important to me that the dress be made of white seersucker.   I honestly don't know why it matters so much to me....but it just does.  It's light, it breathes, it's eco-friendly, it's fairly unique, and it follows the tradition my mother started of wearing a cotton gown. 

    Incidentally, assuming all goes well, it was also an incredibly affordable option.  If it does not go well, it will be an incredibly expensive mistake because I'll have paid for the messed up dress, and will then have to pay a premium to get something in time for the wedding. 

    So fingers crossed. 

    I also have a job interview tomorrow.   Fingers crossed there too. 

    (Although if only one of the two things can go well, I'd rather get the job!!!)
