Looking for Outdoor Reception Site

My fiance and I are looking for an outdoor reception site in April (preferably within 45 minutes of Hampton, where the ceremony is).

We'd like to do a lowkey barbque and lawn games reception and would like to find a space that would allow us to provide our own food and drinks. We've looked at some community parks, but many of those don't allow alcohol consumption.

Thoughts?

  • <div>Have you looked at Shamrock Community Center right outside of Hampton?  My co-worker had a wedding there a few weeks ago.  Was a pretty nice place.</div><div>

  • Crooked Pines Farm has outdoor spacing for receptions. It also has a barn that goes along with the lowkey BBQ, country feel. Their prices are very reasonable. They are worth looking in to. http://www.crookedpinesfarm.com/the-barn.html
