I just wanted to thank you ladies for all the advice (and tough love! ahah) that you've shared with me in the last few months.
Our wedding planning is moving along beautifully, and fh and I have been getting along better than ever. I think he's finally reazlied that his parents are having issues, and he's paying more attention to our relationship so we don't end up going down that bitter road, too. It's good that he's no longer disbelieving what I think and how his parents were acting towards me.
The relationship with his brother is still cold. Yes, we're being "civilized", but that's all there is. It's too bad, because I would have loved to have a good, close relationship, but I realize that with some people you can have that amazing friendship, and with others, you just have to be respectful of them and keep them at a distance to avoid stirring up more trouble.
My parents have been my rock throughout this experience, and I'm so glad that fh and I are both very close to them. I feel like I need to have someone like them around, and I'm glad that fh feels the same way. He's so close to my dad, that I practically have to wedge them apart with a crowbar when they start talking!
I just wanted to give you girls a bit of an update on how it's all been going from me, and I'd love to know what everyone else has been up to. I haven't posted on this board in a while, since we've only had to deal with things like menu planning and choosing the wedding party for the last little bit. Oh, and signing A LOT of contracts... I really need to organize those into folders before I lose them!
