Type of Veil with Ballgown

Im stuck trying ot figure out what type of veil to wear with my ballgown dress. I think a cathedral veil would be great and match the size, but at the same time it might cover up the beauty of the back of my dress??

What have other people done or recommend?

Make it a pretty sheer cathedral veil and you'll be able to see through it to see the back of your dress. Will you wear the veil the whole time? I took mine off for the reception and was so glad I did. The crystal edging was itchy.
