Mmmmm your menus sound yummy ladies :D

We have not yet worked with the menu much, as our wedding is still 9 months away.

We are going to have a comfort food, family style dinner. It just fits our guests better.

We will start out with passed apps of some type

Then guests will be given a bowl of chicken noodle soup (my absolute favorite)

Dinner will be in the form of a "seated buffet" where serving dishes of each item are placed on each table and guests get to serve themselves, like Thanksgiving.
Guests will have their choice of:
    Fresh baked bread
    Meatballs
    Turkey with stuffing
    Ham
    Vegetarian lasagna
    Some type of chicken
    Chef's vegetable
    Mashed potatoes

Dessert will be a four tier lemon cake with almond buttercream

We haven't figured out apps yet, but we are having a pre-ceremony and post-ceremony cocktail time so we'll probably have different choices for each section.  For dinner, we are having everything served family style.  The salad will be baby greens, dried cranberries, blue cheese, bacon and toasted almonds with a pear reisling vinegrette.  Dinner will be filet mignon with a demi glace sauce on the side, garlic sauteed shrimp, mushroom raviolis tossed in cream sauce with sauteed seasonal vegetables, red-skinned mashed potatoes, and grilled asparagus.  We're skipping a cake and for dessert we are going to have individual caramel apple torts from the Standard Baking Company in Portland.  YUM-MY!

We won't finalize our menu until May.  I know that we are going to have Beef Tenderloin as an option, and then we are going to have a chicken and vegetarian option.

We are going to have baby scones and cinnamon rolls with coffee and tea.  We are also going to have several stationed and passed apps with a bit more flare.

Dessert:  The wedding cake and possibly a candy bar
