I like to cook on gas.... maybe because that's what I grew up with.  I feel like seeing the flame helps me figure out how hot the pan is going to be.

I prefer gas, but have been stuck with electric in apartments for the last 8 years!  Grrr.  A gas stove is on my "wish list" when we get a house.... whether it comes when we buy, or we have to convert the kitchen.

I grew up with electric, but learned how to cook on a gas stove in college.  I have no preference though.  I decided not to upgrade our stove to gas... all I wanted was a flat top stove.  I'm a mess when I cook.

I currently have electric, but the house will be gas.  I don't care either way.

I have electric at home, and gas at work. I do like the gas much better.

I prefer gas but have electric at home and will have electric in the new house.  It wouldn't be my preference, but I also don't want to drop 8-10K to convert the house to gas (its oil heat).

Our last apartment was gas and I loved it (it was my first gas stove). It is a lot easier for me to control the heat on gas, especially something like soup where you need to bring to a boil and then turn down to a simmer - that's a helluva lot easier with gas.
