include venue address on invite?

I am wondering if it is proper etiquette to include or not include address of venue in the actual invite? Most of my guests other are from the area.

Re: include venue address on invite?

  • I agree with PP, though if your venue is historical or incredibly well known, you could get away with just the name, city and state. There is a cathedral in my town that everyone knows about, and any invitations I've made for weddings at that church used the name and city and state but no address. There were no problems that we heard of. But otherwise, Name Address City, State
  • Follow up question, if guests are not familar with the location of the wedding---include a zip code?

    ^Nope.

ZIP codes are for the post office -- for sending mail essentially. Otherwise it's just unecessary.
