I had my bridal shower this weekend!! I don't know if that counts as getting stuff done, but it was really exciting to have my first real wedding event. I also got my thank you cards in the mail on Monday afternoon, so that made me feel super-accomplished.

Other than that, I made a little more progress on centerpieces. That's it though. Oh, wait, no, that's a fib, we finalized the order for our guestbook canvas, and my fiance ordered thank you cards for his groomsmen. I'm having a bit of "lalalalala, magic elves will finish all of my wedding planning" denial right now.

Somehow we're in a lull. Don't ask how.

I have my first fitting scheduled for April 17th, my make up trial for April 6th, the day of my shower. And I need to call and cancel the first MUA I booked and call all my vendor to set up final meetings.

FI and I are still looking for rings. We were sooooo close to pulling the trigger in Vegas, but they wanted to hang onto my e-ring to size the new one properly and FI refused to leave his grandmothers ring 2000 miles away and have it shipped back to NY. So there's still the ring thing.

Right now we're mostly just waiting on RSVP's to roll in so we can start labeling place cards and making our seating chart. But honestly, we're good shape and at this rate we're slated to be completely done with EVERYTHING at least a week prior, which is the goal. Fingers crossed.

I finished my favors, made a draft of the program for the Pastor, ordered things for OOT gift box/bags and sent out my invitations!

This weekend we will be finishing a lot of things up. All we have left for big purchases is to get the alcohol which will be done Friday. Bridal party gifts are all done and I'm waiting for the gift bags to arrive to pack them all up!! Picking up the stamps this weekend and getting the invites ready to mail. I was going to send them out at the end of April but I may send them a little earlier.

I had my boudoir shoot on Sunday! That was my big thing for the week, it was SO fun, I highly recommend it! I also received our favors and ordered our guest book. Our invitations are supposed to be in on Friday...hopefully they are!

I've been trying to be productive. A little hard when you're waiting on the accountant to send your taxes so you can wait on the government to send your return, LOL.

Mostly I've been working on the invitations, getting postage put on, flipping the RSVP card around after the postage has been put on and the number noted for the person it's going to, then attaching the ribbon to the pocket fold and handing it to FI to seal with the sealing wax. Yay, good times!

Thanks to one of the other June girls I found the dress I really wanted to get for my shower at a price I could afford so as soon as I get paid I'll be purchasing that bad boy

We scheduled a tasting with the beverage service to choose our signature cocktail. I"m very excited about THAT! Mom bought the pattern for her skirt the other day. Hopefully she gets the material ordered soon but I'm not going to stress one way or the other. If she gets it done, great, if not she can just pull out one of her formals from Star and wear that. FI asked for the contact information for the venue the other day. I'm a little perplexed about his sudden interest in tablecloths since he didn't seem to care if the tables were even covered just a few weeks ago. I'm just kind of waiting to see what happens in that arena.

I'm getting excited about the showers that are being thrown for me. I've sent the guest list to my BMs who are throwing the first and I'm putting together the guest list for the family shower for my FSILs for the one they're throwing for me.

I keep plugging along. I'm really excited to see my to-do list on my planning site slowly growing shorter than my already-done list!

This past couple days I got a lot of stuff done! I purchased out guest book (its a steelers jersey with our last name and 68 as the number since we are getting married on June 8), I bought Fi cuff links and a tie clip for his present for the day of! I also bought my rehersal dress (which should be here within the next couple days) and we picked our reads. Today I purchased my wedding jewelry and I am also going to purchase my garters. (trying to decided on 2 different ones). We also decided on our moms gifts. and i am still trying to figure out what else to get my girls! so I feel like I have gotten a lot done the last couple days!

As some of you know my invites arrived yesterday! I'll be stamping and addressing the rest of the week to hopefully get them out on Saturday. FI is supposed to be making the map enclosure today so we'll see how far he got.

I've got my table runners all cut - just need to go out and get the paint/brushes so I can stencil our initials / design on them

We set up our menu.

We went and checked out suits for FI last night but no final choice was made yet.

We booked the ceremony muscians

We talked to FI's college pastor and are setting up a time to meet with him to go over the ceremony.

I think that is about it so far! My dress is supposed to come in any day now and then I can start shopping for shoes/jewelry (we aren't sure how much lenght I'll have to play with heel-wise so I've been waiting)

As of now, I'm searching for somewhere to get a corset back sewn on my dress. It was a tad snug when I bought it...zippable, but snug- and I put on a few lbs...not lost like I wanted to.

I'm afraid to try it on...but looking for a seamstress just in case.

My mom told me the bridal shower invites were shipped the other day so I am looking forward to seeing them!

We ordered our invitations this weekend and I just got notification that they already shipped and should deliver tomorrow--so I am super excited to get those and get them ready to send out.

I found a tie for my FI this weekend that I bought him for the rehearsal dinner--matches my dress perfectly--which is also the same color as the bridesmaid dresses so I am thinking I may want to go back and get those ties for the guys to wear in the wedding now. My FI loved it (and this is the guys who said he would only wear purple at our wedding, haha) so I was happy he was a fan of it

Next few weekends are busy so will be on a wedding planning break till the end of the month. I'm currently working on the guest book so hope to have that done by Friday so I can get it ordered before things get busy for us.

My food tasting is on Saturday!! FI and I are super pumped. Our invitations are supposed to come in the next week, so I will start putting those together. I also scheduled my first fitting for May 3rd.

I just made my appointment for my first fitting, I have my shoes and spanx, so it's as good as it's going to get!

My cake lady and I are emailing back and forth about flavors. She'll do whatever I want, and what I want is a pink lemonade cake. She's researching how to accomplish such a thing, then she'll make me a tester. Yay for cake.

FSIL and her husband are coming over this weekend, we're going to sample signature drinks and work on invitations until we get too drunk.

I'm currently cutting all of the custom stickers I ordered for our candy buffet bags. I thought they were circles, but when they came, they're actually squares, with my circular design on them, so I'm sitting here with a giant hole puncher, cutting out the circles. What a life!

We had our food tasting, chose our menu, and ordered our invitations (and everything else that goes with them!). We finished getting our groomsmen gifts, bridesmaid gifts, and half of the parent gifts!

I've been looking over and making changes to our invitation proofs (yeah, we still don't have those yet!). I contacted an officiant because, yeah...we still don't have one of those either! Our coordinator at our venue just called me and we reviewed the information that we came up with at our menu planning meeting last week...I got to ask her some questions that I forgot to ask last week. And, I'm finalizing the address list to send off!

Today is completely devoted to getting my invitations put together!! And probably the next couple days, I'm sure I'm underestimating the amount of time it will actually take! Haha. We had also planned on visiting our ceremony and reception sites this weekend to get some questions answered and some details planned out, but the weather is not going to be as nice as we thought so I guess we'll be putting that of for a week our two. Otherwise just continuing to work on all my DIY projects!! Feeling a little behind, but I have everything planned down to the week it needs to be done at this point! I just hope I can stick to my schedule! LOL

We've gotten a lot of little stuff done this week:

Saturday we had another appointment with our florist to decide on flowers she is going to bring to our "playing" appointment. In April, she and I will sit down with a whole bunch of sample flowers and see what we like and don't like. She is AWESOME and an old friend of FI's mom who she hadn't seen in 15+ years until we hired her (without knowing it- small world!), so I think she is treating this to be much more special than her typical client. She also said that she can do all of our bridal party/unity candle flowers for around $500 and offered to do our centerpiece flowers for under $25 a table, which keeps us in budget! She is letting us borrow votive holders and mirrors for the centerpieces too for free, so she is saving us a ton! I love her!

We decided to hire a shuttle to take our guests to the reception since we already got a shuttle to take our guests home through our hotel block. It's cheap and worth it for our guests to not have to worry.

We ordered our cake samples today (we already booked a baker but wanted to put off on the tasting until we could bring them to our families), so they are going to give us a set of samples to bring to FI's family this weekend and another set to bring to my family next weekend. We get to try 8 flavors and I am SO pumped.

I ordered a sash for my dress after looking since July for the perfect one. I found it from a great vendor on Etsy and if all goes well, I'll be ordering my garters from her too. Her work is stunning.

All of our moms (FI's mom and my mom/step mom) have their dresses and will look beautiful.

I think that is it. It's been a busy week!

I figured out my template for my invitations. I'm printing directly on the envelopes and can now just run all of them straight through as soon as I get the last few addresses. Yea!

My shower is Saturday, and I finally found my outfit today. My mom went with me to 7 stores trying to find a dress, and I finally found one! I'm so excited for this weekend!

Today some more fabric samples came in the mail and finally one was the perfect match for my dusty shale/seafoam/mint color!! So I ordered 20 yards of it and I'm so relieved!! I had been looking at fabric swatches since November (insane).

I also decided on the escort cards, I had made some myself a while ago - pink ombre watercolor, but I they didn't seem to really mesh with the rest of the table. I might sell them on etsy because I did spend $30 and several hours painting them! Now I'm just going to buy the blush pink ones from paper source and do different color ribbons tied at the top to signify the person's meal selection. MUCH easier! This way I can have the calligrapher do all of them beforehand, and when RSVPs come back with people's meal choices, all I have to do is add the right ribbon! Yay.

We ordered our guest bat (instead of a book), ordered the guys boutenieres, ordered our cake topper. Cake is paid for. We have our catering tasting tomorrow. I am working on our invites, since I've been having a hard time getting them printed up. I am hoping to get them mailed out this weekend. I have my dress fitting scheduled for April 5.
We booked our photographer.
I am working on my centerpieces and still have to work on decorating ideas.

We finished picking out all our readings and prayers for our ceremony. We also set up a time to video chat with out priest, since he is in school down in DC and we are up here, it will be good to finally "meet" face to face and chat wedding. I finally ordered my shoes after looking at them for months. My mom said she would start addressing the invitations after Easter, so they will be ready to go out the end of April.

I can't believe we only have 3 months left!

We finished our vows and picked our reading. We asked our friends to read (husband and wife) and they said yes. All the BMs dresses are in so we will probably pick them up next week. I've been emailing all week with the woman doing invitations about finalizing the details. We added a trolley due to parking nightmares at the church. And I think we have about 99% of the music figured out. Just have to decide on recessional. This week we hope to order tablecloths and maybe do a tasting. I have to figure out hair and make-up too. That is what I am starting to stress over, that no one will be available.

Our rings came back in the correct sizes. Blue Nile's exchanges are so fast!

Invites went out today! They went so fast once I actually sat down and did them.

We picked our florist this weekend and I'm really excited about my bouquet and that I was able to talk the florist down a little bit (it still went over budget, but not double like she first quoted!). We weren't planning on doing centerpieces because the venue provides them, but when we finally saw their example we knew we needed something better. So we're doing a square vase with daisies.
