Are you doing your monogram with lighting/moving head.

How much does something like this cost?

    Our DJ offers the monogram/gobo for 200$ I think. I think that is the going rate from what I saw from the other DJs we were looking at too...

    I like the idea since it adds more personality, but I am not sure it's worth $200...

    I don't think FI will be into it when I tell him it may cost that...I think we'll ask our venue and DJ to see what the offer

    Hey B

    I am not doing the lighting the monogram, I got the room lighting after couple negotiations for $700 from my DJ and I am proud of my negotiation technequies. I will be an expert by the end of this month :). So my DJ will cost around $3000, does that sound reasonable to you ladies??

    Our lighting is through the venue (includes the projector screens, all lighting, pin spot - other details FI knows more about)....we like a lot of their lighting but we are going to keep it under 2 grand...the DJ for the entire wedding day is about 1 grand

    so its around the same as your's nicki...!

    We didn't do the lighted monogram either for DJ + DJ lighting+ dhol + mcing + lighting for the whole banquet hall / stage = $2,250.

    Maybe it depends where you gals are located as well for driving up the costs?

    Nicky - That sounds really reasonable if that includes your DJ and the lighting! Nice job on the negotiating!
