VENT - No anniversary for me

Hey girls I know most of you have been with your FI for years, but Jeff and I were only together 6 months before our parents told us we had to decide to get married or break up. We knew by then we wanted to marry eachother so you know things just went from there. Background to the vent. Jeff and I have this horrible problem of not being together for major anniversaries.
Example. One month - I was in Houston for nephews 1st birthday and was in Dallas for his best friend's wedding.
Six month - He was in India - Yea can't do anything there.
One year - He will be in Cali for work. This is coming up June 18th!! I hate it I hoped we could celebrate one of them.
Two year - WEDDING we better be together!! lol

I know most of you don't live in the same country as your FI so I'm sorry to be whiney it was really just annoying me.

    It's rough to be apart on special days.
    FI and I have been apart for over 2 years.  We literally have candlelit dinner via skype.  We really have to put effort into being romantic and creative. :)

    Oh no that stinks! I hate it when FI and I can't be together for special days. We share a birthday and one year I was in CA for work on our birthday :(

    Maybe you can take some time off from work and visit CA with him? That way its a special way to celebrate your anniversary?

    Yea I think its ok for you to go visit him there if you can, I just got back from seeing FI for our photoshoot and it was his bday too!! killed twobirds with one stone..lol..but yea he doesnt know I told him I was scheduling the shoot around his bday celebration not the other way around..we even missed our celebration dinner reservation and I had to make a last minute change for reservations (we got so late doing our completion of Ephootshoot) saved myself somehow..but he def. appreciated me taking the extra effort to be with him on his bday. His bday was Monday I got there saturday and stayed till tues, I put in the vacay a month back because if I didnt make it for his bday I wouldnt be forgiven. But I suggest you try and see if you can get the days off and go see him in Cali!!

    Yea I would love to go to Cali, but he'll be on a military base and I can't get on. I don't have the clearances he does. My friends are awesome and we are all going to dinner to get my mind off it.
    I did long distance my whole life. This is the first relationship I've been in that I saw him regularly. I should be use to it.
    We are going to dinner tomorrow to celebrate our One year. We are going Ring shopping today and maybe tomorrow so I hope we find something!!! lol

    We've been ring shopping for 3 months now. I'm not sure what Jeff is looking for but it's something.
    We are having an "anniversary" dinner tonight to make up for next week. He won't tell me the details but I'm excited.
