Declaration of Intent/Consent Suggestions?

So I grew up as a Conservative Baptist and my pastor is officiating our wedding.  I do not consider myself a Conservative Baptist anymore and my FI and I do not want to use the wording, submit or obey anywhere in our vows or declaration of intent/consent.  We found vows that we like without those words, but I was wondering if any you ladies could share your declaration of intent/consent with me if they do not contain the words submit or obey or any websites I could look some up?  I have tried googling them, but am just coming up with vows.  TIA Ladies ! :)

could you explain how a dclaration of intent/consent is different than vows?

If I'm not mistaken, the declaration of intent is the part right before the vows...whee you basically show that you've come freely and of your own choice and are ready to make the promises that marriage entails.  We definitely had this and then vows in our ceremony.

I'm sure the font will come out crazy, but here was ours.  Our officiant had a number of options to select from.

(Bride), DO YOU TAKE (Groom) TO BE YOUR HUSBAND AND BEST FRIEND FOR ALWAYS?  DO YOU PROMISE TO RESPECT HIM AS YOUR EQUAL PARTNER AND AS A BLESSING IN YOUR LIFE?  DO YOU PLEDGE TO LOVE HIM AND HONOR HIM, COMFORT AND CHERISH HIM AND, FORESAKING ALL OTHERS, DO YOU PROMISE YOURSELF TO HIS KEEPING FOR AS LONG AS YOU BOTH SHALL LIVE?

    (Bride):  I DO

I would check with the officiant first. If you are getting married in their church you may have to follow their rules. If they will allow you to use other wording why not just use what the church has as a foundation and alter them to suit your needs?

I checked with my pastor and he said we could use different wording.  A declaration of intent is what is said before the vows like LRM explained.  I did kinda want it add something about our faith in their, but not to the point where it says to submit or obey.

    - Name -, will you have - Name - to be your wedded wife, to live together in the holy estate of matrimony? Will you love her, comfort her, honour her and keep her, in sickness and in health; and forsaking all others remain loyal to her as long as you both shall live?

(And you know what his answer better be)
