Philly Night life?

Hi Girls!

Hopefully you can help...

My husband and I have friends(another couple) coming into town today and they want us to take them into the city tomorrow night for dinner, drinks, and maybe dancing . I'm originally from New York and currently residing in Delaware so I don't know to much about the Philly scene at night. Can anyone fill me in on where to go and what to do? I probably should mention we're all about 30 and we are open to more then one place. Thanks in advance!

I love Jolly's Piano bar! I always have a great time when I'm there.

See where DJ DeeJay is playing. Usually at the Barbary or Silk City. CRAZY fun.

Not exactly sure what your "scene" is, but here are a few of my favorites:

    Dinner -
La Voila - BYOB, cozy, delicious and not too pricey *cash only* http://philadelphia.menupages.com/restaurants/la-viola/

10 Arts - if you're looking to show off/spend more, I love the atmosphere of this restaurant! It's in the lobby of the Ritz, and I've never had a bad meal (or even dish) here.

Estia - Greek and amazing. http://www.estiarestaurant.com/about.asp

All of these are between Broad and Rittenhouse, so for bars in that area, I like

    Tria - wine bar http://www.triacafe.com/

Ranstead Room - this one is a little more difficult to find. It's at 20th and Ranstead, then you go down Ranstead (it kind of looks like an alley) to the door with the red light above and the double-R monogram on the door. Go through both sets of doors, and you're at a fun, kinda swanky, trying to be a speak-easy bar.

As for dancing, this is not my area of expertise! I agree with Cara about DJ DeeJay at Silk City, but I've also heard fun things about Vango (which is close to Tria) and Cuba Libre in Old City.

    Have fun!
And they're the five best friends that anyone could have, the five best friends that anyone could have! Photobucket
