Alright Ladies & Gent,
Post up your wackiest idea for the wedding thus far! It can be anything at all that you considered doing, maybe you wanted to have an orchestra playing your entrance, or a live animal petting zoo? The wackier the better, you all know we don't judge here Laughing

    FI wanted to "row" up to the ceremony WITH the kids via ocean kayak.  I nixed that pretty quickly.  SO impractical.  He knew it was...

    FI wanted to set up 3 fishing poles and a cooler as a backdrop behind the minister.  It was suppose to be symbolic of the 2 of us and his 5 year old daughter.  While we all love to fish, the ceremony isn't the place for it.

    FI wanted to go to Vegas.  What?!?!  No beach?  Not having it.

    We briefly thought about Vegas.  I actually love Vegas.  However, it was pretty impractical for us with the kids and I really wanted a good portion of my family to be able to make it.  With airfare these days...I don't think most of my family could afford it.  We love our choice with OBX though and since we live in VA its pretty drivable for us and most of our families

    We're having NC BBQ at our reception and I really want to do a BBQ sauce fountain instead of a chocolate fountain.  No one else seems to find tihs as hilarious as I do.  I'm still pushing for it though.

    Hi llilley!!  This is actually not THAT crazy of an idea.  I used to set up chocolate fountains for special events (for three years!! I've been to a lot of weddings) for a lady I know in the DC area.  She owns the business The Chocolate Chick.  She has done nacho cheese fountains, ranch fountains.  I don't see why BBQ sauce wouldn't flow through a fountain well.  I can ask her if you want though, to see she thinks it would work.

    @keb A NACHO CHEESE FOUNTAIN?!?!?  Can I please get one for my house?

    And thanks for offering to check on it (!!), but I've already checked with Emily at the Black Pelican and she said it was totally possible to do.  So I guess you're the second person who hasn't thought I'm insane.

    Also, I would love a job setting up chocolate fountains (assuming you're also the taster to make sure it's working properly).

    Ohhh Rebecca!!!  How very exciting!

    Llilley...can we say yes to the bbq fountain!  I am salivating over here now...and craving that good ole NC BBQ :)

    Neither one of us had anything really wacky but I do joke that I am coming in via parachute....which he knows is total B.S. b/c I am terrified of heights.

    I'm totally jealous that I didn't think of a BBQ fountain.  It would be so awesome.  I HAVE to check into a Nacho Cheese fountain.  I drive my FI crazy b/c that's all I want to order when we go to my favorite mexican restaurant.

    We're using the Black Pelican too.  LOVE Emily :)  I actually can't stand chocolate fountains.  I will not elaborate for the sake of everyone else on the board who wants to continue to enjoy them. LOL.  The biggest thing is once you've been up to your elbow in chocolate, had it in your HAIR you just don't want the chocolate fountain anymore ;o)

    So, I'm picturing me standing there with my tongue under the fountain.  Kind of like when you forget to fill the dog's water bowl.  And you search all over the house for her and you find her in the tub waiting for the drops to come out of the faucet.
