Yes I realize how many days there are until the wedding. Is it really necessary to come by my desk every day and say "X days until the big day" and then chat it up for half an hour? Shortgirl,

I sprained my other ankle (you know...besides the one that I injured a month ago...) last night while trying to get a run in before this rainy weather sets in. It's a bad sprain and it looks like I'll be off of it for at least 2 weeks...which is when I'm supposed to run my half marathon but I don't want to push it. So I'm bowing out of the race.

Luckily it's not in vain and I can let a co-worker or friend run the race because I know a few people who are on the wait list for it.

Dear Kris,
I'm glad that it's cold. I bought a cute plaid purple coat from Target and I want to wear it. Also, I'm tired of not being able to wear my pretty sweaters during the winter because it's been too warm most of the time.

Thanks everyone for the concern. It really sucks. I have to just smile about it because if I don't, I'll just cry. I never knew how important this one race was to me until last night. After it happened and I got home, I just broke down and sobbed for a good 15 minutes. I know there will be other races, but I was just so excited about this one.

But at least I got to run the turkey trot, right?
