BR question for VBAC moms

Of course I'm going to talk to my doctor about this, but my appointment isn't for another month.

Did you read any VBAC related books that you liked?  Any research you can direct me toward?  I think there's a VBAC board and I lurk once in a blue moon, but I mostly trust only this board for my info.

Any information you can point me toward that you found useful, I would appreciate.

*pssst, I just googled VBAC and prepared myself to argue against those who didn't want me to do it. I had a successful VBAC, FB has the Cesarean awareness board that i'm a member off.  Check your groups for it*

Are you looking for a book to help you make a decision about whether to do it?  Or just for experiences in general?

The only medical thing I know is that if you're planning to have a lot of kids (say, more than 3 or 4), you almost definitely want to try for the VBAC, because after that many c/sections your risk of losing your uterus jumps up.  If you're done after 2 or 3, it's not as big of a deal.

There are plenty of stories on the "birth stories" board.  The only one I remember was hella selfish, though, in that this woman was SO determined to have a VBAC that she ended up putting the baby in distress and he was in the NICU for a few days.  But she was so proud that she got her VBAC.  Um, yeah. There are plenty of successful VBAC stories, but that is not one of them.

Again, I haven't discussed with my doctor, but I want to have a VBAC.  I guess I'm just looking for any information that could tell me what would make my experience better or even make my chances better to have a VBAC (if that's even possible).

I also do want to be informed of the risks and such.  I've heard that it's not recommended to VBAC if it hasn't been two years.  I don't know if that's true or not.  Basically, I know *this* much about it and I want to learn as much as I can.
