Re: Random thoughts

  • We used to have those on our porch growing up, and I was deathly afraid of them. My cousin said they didn't bite, but she's not an expert or anything.

[QUOTE]I have a hair question: What do you do with layers? I'm thinking of getting some layers cut into my hair, but I don't own a curling iron and anything of that nature. Do the layers just give your hair body? Tell me how this whole "hair style" thing works please.

layers give your hair a little extra ooomph, even without a curling iron. If you've never had layers, I'd suggest starting of with long, face framing layers to see how you like them.

  • I've never had a hair cut period. So I'm thinking I'll only get a few inches cut and see whether or not I have a panic attack. My hair has zero body right now.

I have them but am pretty lazy and don't do anything special with them. Normally I just spritz some leave-in conditioner on and let them do their thing. If I'm being all fancy pants I just put in some light hold mouse and let them naturally curl.

It's mostly a weight thing for me. My head feels sooo much lighter with layers and it gives a pretty texture verses straight down. It also makes a regular pony tail look really pretty.

And I just thought of something that made me giggle. My mode of entertainment is reading, crocheting, or knotting. Scott's entertainment is playing video games. I can almost guarantee that Z will demand her shows be put on the tv every waking minute. He's also really going to love waking up at 6am on his day off ;) At least I have off that Monday to sleep.

  • Yeah from what I am reading online they are very docile spiders. I am just glad it's not inside my house. I have no idea how'd get that thing in a cup to put it outside!

  • I have a scar on my face from a spider bite. I'm still holding that grudge, but as long as they are outside we are square.

  • Hey everyone!  I feel so out of the loop.  I've been busy lately.  I miss you all.

  • Hi Tide!

Jas, I love layers because it still feels like my hair is long. The longest part still touches halfway down my back, and then goes to chin level. I go to about mid-cheek for the front waves.
  • Howdy, Tide!

    Yeah :( Want to bring Taryn over for a day to entertain Z <img src="http://cdn.cl9.vanillaforums.com/downloaded/ver1.0/content/scripts/tinymce/plugins/emotions/images/smiley-wink.gif" border="0" alt="Wink" title="Wink" />

Kd, I love her dearly...when I know she's going home. Otherwise it's the same stories over and over again, her bossing Scott around, or her chain smoking. And I swear to all that's holy if she smokes in my house I will not be nearly as well liked as I am now.

  • Smoking in someone's house is so disrespectful. I would flip.

  • Ricks!  The spider picture scared me.  Ugh ::shudder::  I hate them.

    Hi tide!!

Katie - I won't have my FMIL stay one night at my house.  She makes me that batty.  I think you are a saint to contemplate having her stay there for a week.

  • Yeah, it would be bad. Especially with my animals and fish tanks. I'm also debating locking Demon in the bedroom while I'm at work to make sure she doesn't get outside by accident. Last time they were here I kept having to close doors behind them.

Boo, I can't find a good scarf pattern but have awesome yarn to make one. Internet, you have failed me.
