"Wonderful charity" is relative. They're known for giving money to organizations to fund research on animals -- what if someone is opposed to that?

That's why telling someone how to spend their money is wrong. Instead, don't register and donate any money you receive to your charity.

You DO NOT dictate to other people how they should spend their money, and that includes charities. I personally would rather donate to a charity that fights domestic violence but am I going to push that on my guests? Absolutely not.

Yes..I'm SUCH a horrible person asking people that if they so choose to donate money to ACS instead of giving it to me..I dont know how I sleep at night. Ditto above comment. Wow OP you sure got nasty all of a sudden. Just because someone does not agree with you does not give you the right to resort to abusive name calling.

Also why does it matter how long someone has been on this site?? I love weddings and planning parties and such so Im forever being asked to help somone plan out a wedding and being their day of cordinator unless Im in their wedding party. One of my bff's is on her 6th marriage for pete's sake so I like to read these boards to get ideas on how to handle diffrent scenarios and such. Some of my friends have mad family drama some don't. I don't plan on getting married for a good 6 years bf and I have talked about it often and we both want to get married been dating for 10 years now but he and I are enjoying just dating. My first marriage was abusive and I just have not felt ready to get enagaged until this last year. I told my bf that I am ready whenever he was and he got the biggest grin on his face. <img src="http://cdn.cl9.vanillaforums.com/downloaded/ver1.0/content/scripts/tinymce/plugins/emotions/images/smiley-laughing.gif" border="0" alt="Laughing" title="Laughing" /> and said that made him very happy to hear.

So yah it may make me a lurker or a troll or what have you, but I try to be polite and respectful when I ask questions or reply to anyone. I cannot belive you would be so rude as to call ppl the B word or an A clown because you got your dander up because somone does not agree with your ideas of how things should be. Best of luck to you
