Mother of the Bride -- Ideas?? Cause I'm Plumb OUT!

My wedding is in 2 weeks and my mom still does NOT have a dress. . .

Seriously this is freaking me out, trying not to panic but I'm panicking. . I'm panicking!

Okay so we've gone to Kenwood Mall, We've gone to the other malls, we've gone to Reading Bridal District & Every boutique/store inbetween. . . I think we wore Cincy out. . . But now I've got to go back (I live in NYC, but getting married in Oxford OH). So she is searching on her own. . . She is also so picky!! (So am I so I can't get on her too much about it!).

Her Criteria:
Shorter Dress
No Black
Cap Sleeves / short sleeves or Bolero Jacket preferred (No shawl b/c it's too annoying -- her words! LOL).
No plunging necklines.

My Criteria:
Dress must be fancy/formal in some way either beading/material/style
Dress cannot be the dress you wore to my cousin's wedding 2 months ago.
Dress cannot be a dress you already own (she never buys ANYTHING for herself much less something formal)

Think that's it. . .

I'm going to redouble my search efforts in NYC but it is super hard b/c she isn't there to see or try it on.

have something made. it's not as expensive as you might think and you get exactly what you want and it fits perfectly.

Find a seamstress that can do fast work. Custom clothing is not as expensive as you think. I've done this before when I couldn't find what I was envisioning and between the material cost and labor, I paid maybe $20 more than what I would have spent in a store.

Unfortunately, this was while I was living in Cleveland so I don't have a name and contact information for you.

Have you looked at Nordstrom online? They have a ton of dresses that aren't in the store. You may be at the point of order 3 and tell her she has to wear one. Maybe something like this:

Has she actually tried things on? I went with my mom to Macys and Dillards at Kenwood this past week and there were quite a few things on sale. I made her put on anything I thought would look good whether she thought so or not. She turned a bunch down once she put them on but then loved one that she hated on the hanger.
