I ordered a laptop on Cyber Monday and was told the estimated day to pick up in the store was 12/6. I got an email on 12/11 saying it was backordered but here's a number to call to see if there's an alternate warehouse or if there's a similar in-stock item they can substitute.
So I call. They are plain ol' out of the laptop altogether and Black Friday/Cyber Monday items/prices won't be honored when substituting.
My only options are to 1) wait for the laptop (I'll receive an email letting me know my item will be ready in 1-3 weeks and then another email when it's ready to be picked up, but there is absolutely no time-table as to when I will receive that first email) or, 2) cancel the order.
It was a really good deal, so I'll wait for it, but I want to bitch about it. I guess Santa will slap my name onto DH's present and it will be a shared one this year.
