Favorite Super Bowl Foods

What are you planning on eating for the big game?

I just ordered Black & Bleu mac and cheese for pick up...can't wait to dig into that tomorrow!

Re: Favorite Super Bowl Foods

  • I'm boycotting the Super Bowl.

But typically I'm a big dip person.  Buffalo chicken dip, taco dip, veggie dip, guac, corn salsa, onion dip for chips, etc.

  • We bought almonds & pistachios to snack on. Red grapes. Carrot sticks and dip. Dark chocolate. I'm trying to be healthy but I still like to have snacks out during the superbowl. Plus we're going out for lunch first so I have to watch the calories. lol.
  • I like dips too. Ranch dip, queso, bean dip, sevel layer dip, spinach, etc.
  • My chef is prepping some extra wings for me to take home tonight and fry up tomorrow- Spicy Harissa and Garlic and Herb (I'm allergic to capsaicin, so nothing spicy for me!) with bleu cheese yogurt dip.  FI is working his 8th day in a row tomorrow and getting home at 6:00, so I'm going to surprise him!
  • I doubt we'll watch much of the actual game, but I'm a total sucker for commercials. H is a Chicago Bears fan, so we don't have a dog in the race. I'm a dip girl too...we can easily put away an entire crockpot of buffalo chicken dip
  • I would love cheese fries or tots that would be amazing right now. Along with a chocolate shake.

I would also like to note that tomorrow is World Nutella Day (we just did a segment with a local news channel on it) which I will be celebrating in full!
  • Mmmm queso.

And Nutella.  I stay away from Nutella because I have NO Nutella self control.

  • Since H is allergic to peanuts, Nutella is a pantry staple in our house. Yum.
  • Mmmmm Nutella. The chocolate factory in Springfield, MO makes their own version of Nutella. So yummy, but more expensive Frown
  • I have slightly better Nutella control than FI he can eat the entire jar O.o I will stop before then.

[QUOTE]I am also boycotting the Super Bowl.  Nutella with animal crackers is divine.  Now I'm starving and I'm on my 7th consecutive no-bread day.

No bread?!?! You must have God-like will power.  This was my breakfast, and I'm on a diet!  I will spend an extra hour at the gym for my beloved carbs.

  • Not psyched about the game tomorrow, but I'll watch the commercials.  I'm making 6 layer dip (H doesn't like any of the 7th layer options).  Last year I made 6 layer dip, buffalo chicken dip, and a crudite plate.

    Omg, Nutella...

Am I the only one here who is excited for the Super Bowl because of the teams playing?

My aunt is buying pizza and wings, my mom is making baked ziti, pepperoni bread, and chips with homemade spicy dip.  I'm making Death By Chocolate which is a super easy trifle (layered chocolate cake, chocolate pudding, and whipped topping).  And I think my mom said someone was bringing red velvet cupcakes.

  • I'm going to my B&SIL's house.  I'm bringing the Chili which DH made in the crock pot today.  It smells fantastic.
