Re: Spell check

  • I am personally a fan of traditional wording, so I would do without a phrase like "Your love and friendship have helped us become who we are".  This is personal preference, though.  However, your invitation is written in first person (we), which sounds strange because invitations should be written in third person (their).  Also, you have some unneccessary capitalization.

    Together with their families

    Amber Lynn _______
    and
    Christopher James_______________

invite you to join in the celebration of their marriage
    Friday, the eighteenth of April
    Two thousand fourteen
    six o'clock in the evening

On your reception card, only proper nouns should be capitalized as well.  On your RSVP card, I would recommend writing out the date to match the style of the invitation.

Also, if you are not actually getting married until 2014, I would wait before ordering invitations.  That is almost two years away, and a lot can change before now and then!  Do you already have your venue reserved?  Are you positive your wedding will be at 6:00?  I would definitely wait several months on these.

Ditto PP. Another thing I noticed was that the address of the reception site should go below the map, and the reception info should go above. The way it is now it's kind of like you're giving them a location but not telling them what the location is for, ya know?

Also, with these colors I'd definitely order a sample. Things look different printed out than they do on the computer screen, and the black text may end up being hard to read.

Edit: another thing I forgot - make sure that if you spell out the date on one component, that it's spelled out on all components. Be consistent with how you word the dates.
