Nicknames

So I'm bored and thought it would be fun to share the nicknames you and your FI have for eachother, if you don't mind sharing.

FI calls me baby, babe, or honey most of the time. He likes to tease me by calling me stinkerbutt from time to time. I retaliate by calling him a silly goose head. It's all in good fun. lol Normally I call him honey (which he stole from me but doesn't use nearly as much) or sweetie.

Your turn!

Re: Nicknames

  • He calls me baby which gets annoying really fast. I call him butt face, but I'm not an overly affectionate person....

I love him calling me baby/babe myself but I'm a pretty affectionate person.

He loves you for who you are though, so he obviously likes his nickname! lol
  • ...we call eachother "manbabe." This started because when I would be stressed out I would say, "Man, babe. The kids were just awful today!" He started combining it into "manbabe." Now we giggle whenever we use it!

When we're talking normally, he will usually say hun and sometimes babe or love. I mostly use love, hun, and babe. Sometimes when he's being cute he'll call me his lil' miss. Hence the username.

After we got engaged, FIs parents sent us a card that said Jeff and Julie FIs last name.  It made me so happy <img src="http://cdn.cl9.vanillaforums.com/downloaded/ver1.0/content/scripts/tinymce/plugins/emotions/images/smiley-smile.gif" border="0" alt="Smile" title="Smile" />
  • We're super not creative and call each other Bee (beth & bobby) so it works both ways which is kind of cool.  He'll sometimes call me future Wifebee and I'll call him future Husbee.
  • He used to use the terms sweetheart, honey, babygirl when we first started dating.  Now it's basically just babe.  I also call him babe...or terd.  Depending on the context.  I also write "Daveypoo" on all of his birthday cards.  That was what my friends and I called him when we first started dating, so it's kind of just me being obnoxious. haha.

This is completely unrelated, but when I read this I immediately thought of Finding Nemo. "I'm obnoxious!"
  • I am "my butterfly"(when he's being sweet), honey lips??(trying to be sexy? IDK), or "Jami" (when he's mad at me). I call him babe, sweetheart, honey. He is "Jason" when I'm mad at him..His name is Brian but his district manager (he works at Target) calls him "Jason" for some reason! And her husband has known Brian since they were little kids!!

  • I call him him "Snuggles, Hunnybunny, sweetie, or JOW"
He calls me "Cuddlebunn, Love or Hunny"
That is about as creative as we get

  • We call each other hun, babe, love. Stuff like that, we're not very creative!

Most of the time when I say his name (Walter) it comes out "walta". Very Rhode Island accent - we drop our "R's". It's become a joke with our friends and they now call him "walta" or "waltah" with an accent in the nanny type voice.

  • He doesn't really like nicknames so I just say Chris.  However, when I'm yelling at it when he's in another room to get his attention I sometimes say "Chuck" in a dragged out annoying fashion (it's an inside joke we have from one of our friends).

He has a few for me though.  Sometimes if he's being lazy he'll just say Meg but he also will use Beautiful, love, or hott stuff.  Sometimes if he does something really he'll say "Are you glad you're future Mrs. hislastname?"  You know you love me future Mrs. hislastname.

  • He doesn't use mushy nicknames. I will call him hun or babe sometimes. Honestly, we usually call eachother Biitchface and things like that out of fun. :) It sounds bad out of context.....

  • Nothing super mushy, just the occasional "babe" or "hon."  We are major homebodies though, and we live alone, so most of the time we don't even really address each other...we just start talking!
