We used Rev. Giovanni and were VERY happy with him. He really listened to us, let us customize what we wanted as much as we wanted, but gave us a really great guideline to go by if we wanted to.

He also has a great sense of humor, works amazingly well with all the other vendors, had really great rec's for us for other vendors and things that we still needed. Our photographer and DJ both loved working with him enough to comment on it even.

His pricing was also one of the best we saw, and we met with 4 potential officants. He's under $200. We saw up to $500 for some. He also donates any gratuities that he gets to a charity that he supports, which I thought was really cool.

I met with one of Rev. Giovanni's subordinates and wasn't a fan. His e-mails were unprofessional, he was very pushy with the "sale," and his ceremonies (all from the same book as Rev. G.'s) seemed like a haphazard copy and paste job. He was adamant that no bride had ever met with him and turned him down, which I find hard to believe.

We went with Pastor Mark Faul and he was was fantastic -- and this coming from someone who was DEAD SET against a religious officiant. He made the ceremony personal and light-hearted. Many of our guests assumed he had some kind of personal relationship with us because he seemed to know us so well.

    How much was he?

We are using Arizona Wedding Pastors, specifically Pastor John (www.azweddingpastors.com). He charges $200. We met with him twice already and he was really great. So considerate and easy to talk to. We have a few cultural things we had to include and he actually did all the research on it and helped us incorporate it into the ceremony. Good luck!

Did not like Reverend Giovanni either. Contact Matt Nathanson. He is sooo much better and more prepared than Reverend Giovanni. I also agree Rev Giovanni was pushy with the pricing. You get what you pay for. Rev Giovanni is the cheapest and that is the service you get. If you are willing to pay more Matt Nathanson is amazing

From This Day Forward..Jerry and Julie Law.,.. They write your vows based on you story, and only $250! I felt like they were part of my family when FI and met them:) So down to earth, very professional and kind hearted. Really cares about the couple and if you have kids, loves that! They are including our 4 y/o in the ceremony! (will be 5 by then)

Over 200 5/5 star ratings would indicate that someone gives pretty good service I would think. Maybe there was a personality clash or something for you, but that doesn't mean that he doesn't give good service. Rev. G. helped us out with a lot of recs for other vendors that we even got discounts on because of him. Our DJ, photographers, friends and family ALL commented on how good he was, how good the ceremony was, and we really loved him and his work.

I think it's hard to judge someone on service if you haven't used them either, which is why I don't speak on anyone that I haven't used or that wasn't a vendor for my wedding.

Interesting...They quoted me much higher, I think in the 400s or so.

We used Rev. Phil Waring, Arizonaministers.com, for $350.

ITA Rev Giovanni is awesome! He is marrying us and I can't wait. I think hes extremely well prepared. He gets very good reviews and yes may be cheaper than others but doesnt mean he isn't good at what he does.
