Who's making your wedding cake?

Hey guys I'm going out of lurk mode, lol. Is anyone using any baker other than Eileen Carter, if so who? and what has been your experience with them so far?

I used Lisa Humphreys of Couture Cakes, Inc. She was fabulous to work with! I told her my ideas and she drew up a sketch of it right there! Everything turned out just as I had imagined it. Her cake is yummy too and her price is right on!

We were planning on using Celso's as well, but went with Eileen since we wanted something a little different.  I felt she was easier to work with.

This may be rude but- how much are you guys paying for your cake?  One of my friends recommended the same person who did her cake but when she told me how much she paid I almost died.  She had the same amout of guests as me (about 100) and I never thought it would cost that much.. what's average?

I used Alpine Bakery in Alpharetta and their cakes are absolutely amazing! The wedding cake for ~ 125 people was estimated at $800; however we did the cheaper route and bought 5 large cakes at ~$70 each and just had a variety for our guests to choose from. It was a hit at our wedding because everyone got to try a little of everything and everything was fantastic!

Honestly, I meant with Eileen Carter and she was R-U-D-E! I was willing to overlook this because her cake was tasty but the more we communicated----I decided against it!
Celso's was very professional and the designs were beautiful but I didn't really care for the taste. My FI thought everything tasted great, lol.
