FORGOT A MINOR DETAIL.....

We have our caterer already and she's a small company so she doesn't supply the alcohol and such.  At first we decided we wasn't doing alcohol at our wedding, but I just realized we're gonna be gone for an hour taking pictures and our wedding and reception going to be at the same place so what are they going to do the whole time we're gone. Since we're getting married at a movie theater their isn't a bar we could rent. Is it any companies we can hire just for alcohol or since im pretty good at making drink should i just pre make a signature drink so people could have that to atleast sip on until we're back I need help any suggestions.

Are you having bartenders to at least serve non-alcoholic drinks?  I think you have to have the option for people to at least drink SOMETHING during that time.

While I personally don't have a problem with dry receptions, I know most people will expect there to be alcohol.  I think a nice compromise is to serve beer, wine, and a signature drink.  This will hopefully not break the bank, but will still please your guests.

I had a close friend bartend - rented a bar from Meredith Party Rentals for $50 and bought beer, wine, and champage. We had a signature drink that my friend (the bartender) made before the wedding and once it was gone, it was gone. Basically only for novelty purposes.

Personnally, i dont think if your having a dry reception, you should serve a sig drink and then nothing further alcohol wise... If your going dry reception, keep it all dry.

I will tell you that by doing the bar the way i did it, i saved about btw $500.00 and $600.00.

    GOOD LUCK!! :)
