2 Weddings and no ideas!!

Im new to this board, and new to blogging or poasting or whatever you call it:)

Im planning a small wedding for 75 people in Thornton colorado in April and still have much to do. I have the dress, and the venue provides the catering I need flowers, photorapher and a dj. I found  a couple of florists but they all want me to spend at least $500.00 to even book with them. Im worried I may be out of my leauge. I also need overlays and chaircovers but they are sooo expensive. I dont have any intrest in buying them so I would love some rental recommondations.

Im having a traditionl wedding in June in Marocco. Per tradition my mother and family plan most of that ceromony (receptions doint really happen there) it more of a 3 day long thing. Anyhow Im not worried about that.

I just need to know who you ladies KNOW are good vendors, I mean vendors you have seen there work maybe in others weddings?? I was told people always recommend there own vendors :)

    Check out Zack Girson for photography, http://www.thezudio.com/ He's based out of Fort Collins, but barely charges anything for travel. Wonderful work, high end equpment, very very reasonably priced for his quality, and a very nice guy to work with. He's shooting our wedding this Sept.

    As for flowers, you can probably save a lot of money going DIY if you don't need anything too fancy. There are all sorts of how-to videos/articles online for making bouquets and such.

    For flowers call Cheri at Artistic Creations in Centennial.  She is wonderful.

    Have you thought about hiring a planner? I used Something Classic Events and I am so glad I had someone that I could bounce ideas off of, and she gave me great advice.

    My photographer was amazing! Check out PAEart.com. Patrick was so easy to work with, his photos were excellent & the price was great. :)  He's based out of Ft. Collins but travels (he came to Estes Park for us & didn't charge any extra.) 

    Also, our florist was in Estes Park & gave us a great rate - my budget was $300 and she worked with us to bring it under that & my flowers were BEAUTIFUL! Maybe it would be worth checking in to to see if she travels at all...

    Kathy Vicino of E.A. Floral Design does beautiful work and is very reasonably priced.  I love the bouquets she did at a wedding I photographed in January last year.  It went with the gorgeous color of the bridesmaid's dresses so well!
