Wedding Invitations & Paper

Invitation wording

My fiance and I are being married on a docked sailboat boat with our wedding party and a few guests.  The reception is a short walk away and we plan to have the cocktail hour start at the same time.  We plan to have a coordinator to greet guests and give them the option to walk down to the lake to see the ceremony from shore, however this is standing room on a rocky shore, so we expect some guests to wander down but not everyone to formally gather.  What should we put for wording on our invitations?  We were thinking:

"Cocktails and reception at 5:00pm following a private ceremony" (even though the ceremony will be at 5:00 too and as I mentioned, some may wish to walk down to the water to see it).

  • You might try posting this on the E board if you don't get any responses here. The mod squirrly over there should know.

And/or you could try verseit.com and see if that site helps you.
