  It is always a good idea...I can suggest a few if you are looking for day of planners or just a planner in general to help you with your budget and all that jazz.

  we are working with Elite(b)Events. theres about 5 other knotties who are using them as well and i hired them of their recommendation. all her pricing info is on her website and so far she has been great to work with! her services seem to pay for it self in our case!

  If you're looking for a DOC, my coordinator costs much less than Elite(b)Events and I'm sure does the same quality of work. My wedding isn't until next year but she has already saved me a lot!
